WW2 Battle of Britain 1933 Pattern Flying Gloves
Gauntlets, Flying, 1933 Pattern. Stores reference 22c/264/270, size 8/2.
Perfect matching pair of brown leather flying gloves. The leather is supple and undamaged. The colour match is very good. Original brass Lighting zips with their leather pull tabs. Air Ministry Kings Crown and AID stamps and 1939 dates.
If these weren't already the best pair I've seen, the interior of both gloves is marked 1045202. After some research, the original owner linked to this number is Warrant Officer Walter Moston RAFVR of 34 Wing. He was killed in his Mosquito NS565 shortly after take off from RAF Northholt.
